Kadima Community Day School is the Jewish school of the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts and New Hampshire! We promote academic excellence in both general and Jewish studies. By modeling social responsibility and focusing on the whole child, we prepare children to become knowledgeable, committed Jews, engaged citizens, and compassionate human beings. We accomplish these objectives through close relationships between parents, teachers, and students.
A DIFFICULT DECISION
After 26 years of serving children and families in the Merrimack Valley, our small private school will no longer be able to sustain itself, and the Board has made a heartbreaking decision - to close at the end of this school year.
The decision was all the more difficult because this past year we achieved many of our goals. We moved the school to Andover and doubled our student population. In doing so, we invested a large share of our endowment, and we continued to execute our plan to build financial viability. The recession has seriously hampered our ability to raise the funds needed to operate the school and enroll new students.
Even as we face the painful reality of closing our doors at the end of this school year, we are also aware of the impact we have made over the past 26 years. Our June Gala will be more meaningful than ever, celebrating the children and families whose Jewish identity, knowledge, connection to Israel, and commitment to the Jewish community were strengthened by the unique educational experience we were able to provide.
We thank the many individuals and institutions who over the years have supported our mission and continue to help us complete this year with pride and honor.
